Dimotai Profile Picture

Biography

Tim Dai, known publicly as Dimotai, is a working polymath operating at a professional level across four distinct industries: music, cybersecurity, software engineering, and finance. A B.S. Cybersecurity & Analytics graduate of Penn State University, he is a self-taught, award-winning composer and producer signed with Epic Music World, a full-time Cybersecurity Architect & AI Full-Stack Developer at ESI, the founder of TTM Trading, and the founder of Histatu Networks — currently the #1 Hytale server worldwide by average playerbase. Day-to-day, he architects cybersecurity defense infrastructures for Fortune 500 companies, mentors the next generation of musical artists, and publishes sentiment and technical analysis on breakout stocks for a community of hundreds of investors. When the workload allows, he unwinds insta-locking Jett on Valorant.

Tim has been composing and producing since the age of 13, built on 11 years of childhood piano performance. A decade into his professional career, he is a multi-award-winning artist whose EDM tracks and orchestral epic-trailer scores have been placed across film trailers, record labels, television networks, and syncs worldwide, amassing a public listener following of over 100 million streams. His workstation is FL Studio, paired with Sylenth, Nexus, and Serum for EDM production and a deep suite of Kontakt-based libraries for orchestral composition. His two favorite artists in the genre are Far Out and Marcus Warner.

In finance, Tim is the founder of TTM Trading and a former co-founder of IAT, with more than five years as an active analyst in the investing industry. He specializes in technical analysis, derivatives trading, and sentiment-backed research, and leads a community of hundreds of investors spanning long-term portfolio growth, options scalping, and cryptocurrency trading — across which his own portfolio has delivered consistent returns. His preferred toolkit is MACD paired with Ichimoku Cloud for scalping setups, and RSI paired with Bollinger Bands for longer-term positions.

Tim's technology track record began early and has compounded ever since. In elementary school he served as the Promethean board fixer for his school's technician; by middle school he was writing custom Bukkit/Spigot API plugins in Java for a Minecraft server that peaked in the thousands of concurrent players; today he actively researches AI/ML-backed music production algorithms and ships freelance Unix-based software. He builds his own PCs, develops mobile apps for fun, pen-tests operating systems to keep his offensive security skills sharp, and occasionally drops into a competitive FPS or MMORPG when the day allows.

Outside of his work, Tim is an active traveler who genuinely enjoys meeting new people. His current favorite shows are The Expanse and Foundation, he's a regular for action films — especially the Marvel and Star Wars franchises — and he will never turn down a game of chess. He was raised in Maryland.
